Any blogging tips?

I have never blogged before but I am looking to start a blog that will sort of chronicle my journey to becoming a billionaire. Basically I set out a 10 year goal to become a billionaire and I blog about it. Obviously to get people interested I share my ideas on making money and I share my expertise in The Forex industry.

So far in all my internet business ventures I have relied mainly on word of mouth and it has always worked well. With this however I want to look at other avenues for advertising. I know about Adwords and I will use that.

Anyway have any of you professional bloggers got tips on advertising?

Also I would love some general blogging tips. Like for example, should I write an article daily or should I do it once every 2-3 days?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Nick -

A blog is a great way to get the word out. One of the most important things that you can do on your blog is write honest things that arn't aimed to get anyone to do anything. No marketing - just great content. Once you have the content that people want to link to, you will notice that other people start linking to you and traffic with go crazy. I suggest blogging as often as possible while not sacraficing the quality of the content. Once a day is great. If you pull off a few days with 3 or 4 posts a day - even better. What domain name are you planning on using?

I will release that information when the blog is released. I am still using it to test the blog so I do not want to release the domain name until the blog is functional.

blogging is a great way to make money. keep posting links with your posts and add up 1000's of links to create a monster access way to your web site.

1. don't settle for blogger or any 2nd class blogging software
2. goto WordPress.com create a free blog.. play with it..
3. Once your familiar with wordpress and like it goto WordPress.org download it and install it in your host.
So your only fee's would be 9.99 for a domain and a couple bucks a month for a host. if you need cheap hosting let me know. hope that helps.

For starting, I suggest you to write a few articles for your blog. So for each visitor that comes to your blog will have something to read. In the starting stage, I also suggest you to post daily to build up the content for your blog. Just concentrate on your content first, once everything is ready, then you can start promoting it in forums or other blogs.

Just do it. You will find what to write when the time comes. A unupdated blog makes the owner want to write, and fast!

once you start blogging, you would find multiple ways to perform it better. my suggestion is to provide real info to your blog .

1.It's better to start right know on a free wordpress blog and play with it until you can manage a paid hosting. But once you have bought your hosting - Go for a great theme. If you got the money, buy one! You branding is so important to succeed.
