I was trying to think but am stuck -

Another name for web design places. Something new I could use.

Like you have the Company Name then - Web Design Specialists

However Web Design sounds boring. It becomes like narrowed down. As I can do web work, business cards, promotional material etc. What else can I call it?

Try for a unique name... names that just combine buzz words like Web/Interactive/Media/Design sound generic and lame.

I went for Thrive Web Marketing because it was simple and everybody could understand what it is that I sell, yet at the same time it doesn't sound like everybody else. I also wanted to avoid the buzzwords, because they do go out of fashion.

"Blah Web Design" isn't terrible - because you won't have to explain yourself. You can simply explain what you specialize in.

If you do print media as well as web and you're looking for a tagline perhaps something like "brand presence specialists" or something like that - use presence, and brand/branding if that's what you do.
