Lightbulb An Idea that stroke me out of nowhere

    Hi guys,

I just thought for a website which provides info about seaside resort ( It is visited by 3-4 million people[foreigners] every year). As I found out there are no websites satisfying that "need" except of the ones that are from the municipality.

I am thinking of a more detailed website more user-friendly (forums, updated info more recently ...and all that stuff) ...

What do you think? Is this a need ? Are people looking for tips how to act what to beware of and where to go when they want to visit a place? Do they look in the internet before they go there?

Thanks you in advance for the feedback.

Are you speaking all seaside resorts or just one in particular?

I think that it is a fairly good idea, have you ever been to cruisecritic.com? It is a website that is set up exactly how you're explaining your own website but it's for taking cruises. It is a very useful tool and it has quite a bit of traffic.

Well, I checked the website, but there is nothing what I have thought of... It is more of a standard descriptions all over the internet... My idea was not for standard descriptions and offers of accommodation, but something more, real stories from people who know have lived there worked or sth. or from people visited.
Yes I am speaking for 1 particular resort.
What I think of is having dialogue with visitors(via forums or comments or sth..) and stories, info updated all the time(not like the standard websites having the same info for all its lifetime ...)

I like the idea, i think it could work for one paticular resort, ive seen lots of directorys online that cater for pretty much world wide resorts, i guess a dedicated one will have the same impact, I like visiting these sites where the feedback is all genuinely user generated from people who have visited the locations, they give a pretty accurate description on what can be expected.

    Exactly !!!
And the resort is visited by 4 million people every year - there is no other site like the one from the idea, so the website should make some good traffic.
And there are lots of possibilities for growth afterward.

    1st things 1st.
It is a deep one project, maybe If I find a partner I could start it earlier that it normally going to be.
