    An Entrepreneur's Advisary: Ourselves

During our journey into unknown waters as young entrepreneurs, we discover traits about ourselves we may never taken notice if not for entrepreneurship.

Of those traits discovered, exercising control over ourselves is essential and paramount to success. If we do not exercise control, the consequences that ensue can possibly lead to burnout.

    Yes, the "B" word.

Just of late, I am in that zone of lethargic mood but entrepreneur inside me says "I want to continue working, I must ford the river going up stream, no time for rest." And then the CEO inside me says "Your working harder not smarter."

    Down to the brass...
    1) How do you control yourself from burning out.
    2) How much control must you exert so that you do not become a hypocrite to your own advice.

I would really appreciate advice from the community!

Here's a bump for you. I'm surprised no one has shared anything on this. I am as anxious as you to hear the answer!

I keep a prioritized "to do" list with me every day and update it throughout the day. I also work 40 to 50 hours per week. Typically I put in 9 hours per day, and before noon I decide what time is quitting time for that day (usually 5PM). When my scheduled quitting time rolls around, that's it. I'm done. No more work, no more thinking about work.

Burning out is just a state of mind.

    It's in your head.

Assuming your young and in good health, physical excertion can be an issue caused from your mental state.... Burning out.

It's boredom, it's loosing interest, not being challenged enough or being too challenged, being weak.

    It's all in your head.

I believe, "burning out" is a very weak trait. It's giving up.

So again, it's mental, not physical.

Which is easier to control and adapt then physically.

There is no mystery. No secret to not burning out.

    It's all in your head.

The same as keeping and maintaining a serious relationship.

For me.. before I want to start this export business.. I am a story searcher bloggers. Everday I get order and to tell you the truth, I am tempted to work all day long. But what I did is on my desktop I put a Rainlendar program to see my to do list and other events. To avoid myself working too much, I put a timer. automatically my internet will be disconnected when I go over the time limit
