    Ambition(s)

In terms of monetary values, realisticly what are your ambitions.

I was just wondering what people aim to make in there lifetimes and what sort of people have you come across do you have people that support you or people who tell you that you need to have a 'real' ambition or people who believe that you should be 'realistic' with your goals in life.

Personally my Mum is very supportive of me and I aim to become a Billionaire, and i believe that people with the right talent and frame of mind can become billionaires, and call me big headed but i believe I am one of them.

There is they well known saying "You can achieve anything if you set your mind to it" however I dont think this is the case I believe you have to have the talent as well as the correct frame of mind to achieve your goals.

Please tell me your ambitions and Goals.

My goal is to be a millionaire by 25, Honestly, I see no benefit in being anything more, I want to be rich, but I dont want to have so much money that I am consumed by money and don't enjoy the other wonderful things in life, like relationships, family, vacations, being happy etc.

You can only be consummed by money if you dont have the mental power not to be really.

This is true, however, I believe the "road" to become a billionaire would require that one be completely consumed with money. So its the getting there part that I am worried about.

The reason why I chose Billionaire is because A. c'mon B. because as MJohns said, if you can mentally overcome the lifestyle of being self centered, one track minded (all for the $$), etc. you can be the outlet to many for motivation, relief, guidance, among many other things.

For example...this Forum is extremely helpful and motivational to many. Someone who used this to start up, felt it was a big part of how they connected and learned to get where they are, may start up a fund or something that supported a "Business plan contest" where the winner received $100k seed money. Or maybe that billionaire has personal aspirations to help a cause that others over look or do not have the same attachment to...thus they could work on helping that. The key to being a moral billionaire I think would be to use the money you have to rid the time-consuming things from your schedule and spend that free time now bettering yourself and those around you.

I used to think the same way when I was in my 20's so I hope you guys make it to your billions... (and still keep your heads screwed on straight)

but it sounds like you are going to identify yourself and attach more importance on what you have or hope to have or think you can have over what is really important.

don't let your posessions define you and don't piss your time away dreaming about the end game. if you spend the money before you make it by fantasizing than their really is no need to make it... the fantasy will always be better.

better to spend your time trying to figure out the "how's" and "who's" and the "what's" that will get you to the game but just having the admission ticket doesn't buy you the team.

    that being said,

I think their are a lot of practical and realistic ways to earn millions yearly... internet marketing with a world wide audience has to be the greatest thing since sliced bread and comparred to the old days "as easy as falling off a log".

hell, even I was able to eek out a web site that has supplied us with customers from all over the world for the last 8 years... our cost to get a customer who will spend between $2k & $10k?... NOTHING! lol

So really, Their is no reason you "can't" at least concieve it... it's sure possible .. but because you "think you can" doesn't mean you "can"... I read the same book you did about the little red engine and that's bs.

for me, I'd be happy with a few million in cash, and no debt but in reality, that's what I'd expect to make if my product "fails"... It could be substantally more if it succeeds.

so, good luck Let me know when you are rich and we can discuss your fine custom jewelry needs.

yah, i'm wondering how many members here have actually seen a financial planner to set aside specific financial objectives, matched by a range of complementary financial strategies

i don't think it's possible to seriously discuss "What do you aim to become?" without consulting a planner..without a plan, any responses to the question are merely a day dream...the problem with entrepreneurship in general is that usually the founder's only financial strategy to become a millionaire is to hit the jackpot on great exit
