For those who have dealt with ali baba chinese suppliers, how much did freight cost you?

I tried to order samples of 5 products that are relatively cheap ($1) yet the quote came out to $30 for the samples and $30 for the freight. I understand that they don't want people getting free stuff and wasting their time, but isn't this pretty expensive?
