    air-travel related business ideas?

I have now graduated from university with a Foundation Degree in Airline and Airport Operations, and would love the opportunity to set-up my own business, but I am struggling to come up with a decent enough idea for an air-travel related business.

My ideal ambition would be to set-up and run my own airline, but I know that at my age, 20, and how competitvie this industry is, I have no chance of achieving of this at this stage in my life...

One possible idea that I have follows the principles of GuestInvest, which is where people can buy a luxury hotel room and earn money while others sleep in the room. The benefits of this is that you receive half of the revenue from that room for yourself, and you can also stay in your room free of charge for up to 52 nights a year.[http://www.guestinvest.com/]

My idea follows the same principles, but instead of a hotel room, people would have the opportunity to purchase a seat on an aircraft for a particular route, for an entire year! They would have the benefit of being able to use this seat for a certain number of times to travel to that particular destination for free, and they would also be able to make money from the time when they are not using it...would this idea work or not?

If anyone has any potential ideas that they feel could be suitable for me, please can you post below, PM or e-mail me: jonathan_mark_davies@hotmail.com

    Many thanks in advance.

What if you served as a liason between private jet operators and customers who would be interested in the services?

Negotiate the ability to have "Deadheads" (empty legs) for a few FBOs (Fixed Base Operations) in your area and then advertise this availability to a select customer base in your area?!

Yea you would have competition with only service providers - but you've also got to take into account the fact that many of the "private jet set" aren't interested in having to search around online - they want to pay someone to do the leg work for them and simply receive a call like "hi Mr. George. I have an empty leg available for your trip to Teeterboro, NJ on _____ date. Would you like to purchase this leg?"

I think they key to the hospitality industry - nowadays, is creating niches.

Frequent travelers, especially wealthy ones, are increasingly becoming irritated with commerical air travel. ESPECIALLY considering the constant restrictions that are becoming more consistent as we become more terrified of terrorism.
