Advice/Help Requested: How to Screen Applicants to find only the BEST Candidates?

Ok, first I'll say that I'm pumped (excited, lol). I just sent out an email to all the entrepreneurial-minded students at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater (my school). I asked for a response from any entrepreneur who felt he/she met the following criteria:

• Have high Integrity
• Extremely Motivated
• Hard Worker
• Intelligent, Creative, and Adaptive
• Entrepreneurial Minded
• Able to work well with groups
• Able to work alone with much autonomy
• Knows how to execute plans effectively and efficiently (in other words, can get things done and can get them done well according to plan)
• Preferably a Junior or Senior but not necessary (experience issue)
• Wants to make money, gain business experience, build their resume, build a network, and have fun running a startup business (and wants everything else I’ve left out)

And, in particular, anyone interested in participating in a business venture this coming summer or sometime in the future (there's more to my email, but that's the short of it). I mentioned that I will be screening potential candidates (to be a part of "the group") and thus will send out a follow-up email with a questionaire to "qualify" potential candidates.

With all that, I am going to send out a questionaire as mentioned above. If I want to screen only the absolute best candidates, I am wondering what you guys think would be some necessary questions I should ask in the questionaire? I have many myself, but am looking for any additional questions/advice that I may have overlooked.

Thanks for the help!

What's up Eliot?

Here's an easy answer: Guy Kawasaki provides an entrepreneurial IQ test. You can use this to screen your candidates. You can find the test at http://web.tickle.com/tests/entrepre...iq%2Findex.jsp

I'm not sure how you will get them to forward you their honest results, but you may be able to get some sample questions from that quiz my taking it yourself.

Hope that helps.
