you might want to look into it a little. I would think that school organizations have exclusivity to selling goods on school grounds........this is to stop any business from just coming in and selling to the students, ya know.
Ideas: gum, mentos, suckers, tic tacs, anything small.
Do you have a student store at your school? If you are allowed to do this, you might have to limit yourself to items not sold at the student store, just so there is no competition. Even though competition in the real world is good, on school grounds you would most likely be "stealing" from school organizations.
Some school, are against capitalism...which is kind of ridiculous.....Did you know that food from schools is like grade D, thats worse than jail food.
And you have to buy it their unless you have open campus.
Check out my blog for tips you can use.

As was said anything you can carry with you and sell that people want will be great. Your not going to get in trouble, if they search you just tell em its for personal useYes, all thirty packs of gum.

Move to a country where people don't chew gum, like Singapore.
Just be sure you don't get caught selling it or you might get caned!
Instead of just selling something at school you can start a low low cost business. I recently graduated and when I was in highschool I knew I could make more money and spend less time if I worked for myself - What I did is curb painting ( go into neighborhoods and paint the addresses on peoples curbs for $10-$15) when I did that it averaged between $100 - $200 an hour. Also for a little more expensive investment you can do powerwashing ( buy a powerwasher and clean peoples driveways, sidewalks, whatever, be creative)
I hope this helps you a little bit.

i would steer more towards hopkins advice then anything else. Maybe you could just get a job and get some experiences.
Alot of guys here are all about opening a business making a pile of money etc etc, yet they have never worked in an office and they think they will never have to if they are a "business owner".
Try to get a part time job somewhere where you think you can learn something, learn their processes, watch how people act, see what they do that make things better and make things worse. Dont worry about working for yourself right now if you cant figure something out, your young go get some experience that will help you make more money later.
I started doing some intern work for some local real estate investors, if that is your weapon of choice. So soon as I got out of school I was ready to make some money. I still got paid, but mainly worked there for the chance to learn.

see now that is a good idea for a high school kid. Dont do it for th emoney your a high school kid you shouldnt have any bills. Do it for the experience and knowledge!
I am a huge believer in learning from people you consider smarter then yourself. I knew this still high school. I knew I would made mistakes, but when you know people who already made those mistakes they can really help you get on the fast track.I remember those days of high school, selling gum, candy and other things. Nice profit until the haterz pulled me down. (haterz equal principal)

Wealth is nothing more than a idea. So, if wealth is just a idea, then everyone has the ability to become wealthy.
Why do something underground? Too much pressure with that. Instead, try to come up with something that can be sold out in the open, with the knowledge and blessing of school administrators. Now, what that could be, I don't know (I'm not a very creative person!), but I am sure there is something.
also keep in mindthe shortage of funding for most schools, which inturn creates need for funds, which creates opportunity for those willing to share thier profits with those hwo are in need! something to think about.
Remember the Yellow Livestrong bands...well...for my schools prom fund when I was class president, we raised over $10,000 selling 3,000 wristbands with our schools name engraved and school colors. I dont know if they are still a fad, but it worked for me.
Ok..
Well I made my money 'by accident' when I was in High School so thought I better comment.
What I did was to form a 'Disco' and started doing birthdays! I thought there was a lot of birthays going on and I would get an invite a week and thats just from my friends. I thought why the hell are there so many parties and whos making money from these.. at the age of 13! .. That was an idea!
After forming, I then started to get bookings without advertising and was easily doing two a week at about £150.00 each ($300.00) for doing four hours work. Reinvested the money, bought better equipment until I made a second rig and then hired that out making another $300.00, total $600.00 per night minus 2nd DJ wage.
Got the idea??.. things grew and when I left school at 16, the business was worth £30,000 ($60,000) in equipment alone.
Uni made new options, along with the old school party events and network contacts meant more and more bookings and has lead to me to be where I am today.
.. Just an idea and I would be able to give you some help if you PM me.
One thing to remember.. when you achieve your maximum threshold of income per year, get your tax sorted! Keep professional and keep focused!
