Advice

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. I am currently in my early 20's going to school and working full time as an independent rock concert promoter. I am making very good money and saving for future investments and opportunities. I am responsible for booking/promoting acts, managing staff, and organizing/managing the calendar of events for two venues. I find this fulfilling at this point in time, but do not necessarily feel that I need to stay in the music business. Can anybody recommend any more "professional" businesses/fields that apply some of these same skills and concepts I am currently utilizing?

Thanks!

I'm not recommending it because I've done only meager research on it, but what about starting or buying a bar? You have a lot of the connections to make it something special I assume, getting acts to you bar or just being the bar where acts youve managed hang out after the concert. I'm in my early 20's, and like most young guys, I would love to own a bar. I just think that if I did it would take over my life to the point where in 20 yrs I'd still be doing it. I have too many things I want to do (MBA, politics, ect.) to get involved with something like that. Plus my gf would kill me.

Anyway, bars do good business in good times and bad times. So as commercial property undoubtedly opens up wherever you live, you could find something in a great location and have your own venue.
