this may sound like a stupid question but how does this adsense thing work? is it like an affiliate program? BUt then after reading some of your posts it sounds like you guys take your websites and have others advertise?? I am not sure????

Sorry I am just getting into websites and trying to make money online?

Its ads on your site - and you get paid for people clicking on them.

For example, if you go to the site in my signiture, and click on one of the links on the left, I get about 10cents. (Now go do it!!!

hmm i use adsense at the moment, i dont make much about $3 a day on one (slowly increasing) and pretty much nothing on another but thats also increasing.

I also use Adsense on my blog at www.blogtrepreneur.blogspot.com. On average I make about $1 per day, but sometimes this can rise to nearly $3 per day. The main problem is that to make a decet earning from Adsense, you need high levels of traffic, and that is a topic which I will be addressing by opening a .com blog at www.blogtrepreneur.com in a few weeks time.

Wow some impressive numbers there. More than me that's for sure.

I just did a post on my blog about how I made a new blog specifically designed to get me $28-$42 per click. I was amazed at that number after doing some research to find that perfect keyword. Sadly, I still don't know if those numbers are true as NO ONE has clicked on my ads still lol.

Do your best to get up-to-date lists like this. (this is an old one) This will tell you exactly what Google is looking for, all you need to do is provide it =)

I've found a lot of lists like that but I still wonder if those numbers are truly what I would get for a click-- I mean $97 for domains yahoo?
