A true/false question about business plans.

I recently read that to write a business plan, it could cost anywhere from $1500 - $2300. I have been doing some work lately on getting a business going and I have not heard that one up until tonight. So I would like to know, is this true or false? Explain for reasons why it maybe true and false.

    Maybe true, maybe False

    Ok,

It depends on your business, how much you want from the bank and so on.

I have a template of one if you want it. It's up to you.

If you want a lawyer to write one up for you, then yes it will cost that much, or maybe more. But if you want to write it yourself, then no it will not.

It depends on what you are going for. If you need a really nice one, something that has all that legal stuff in it, it will cost you lots...But it covers everything.

But if you are just looking for some money from the bank or an investor, then you can do it on your own.

I am hoping to write my own plan with some assistance. If you click on a little link in my signature, it will explain what I want to do for my business.

    Ok....

With that kind of business you might not need one, all you need is a car, and tools and parts. Partner up with a local computer dealer, and when you need something to fix a computer, call them up... order it and pick it up and fix it. Or if they have the part in, just go pick it up and charge the customer for the part.

Really? I've been told by others that yes I do have to have a business plan, no matter what it involves.

I would say write a business plan for big or small.

I was into my own pc repair business and sort of fell out. I had a lack of advertising, which a business plan would of helped a lot. There are a lot of other things I needed to plan for but didn't.

    Plan plan plan!

Makes things easier and you'll impress friends and family and possibly investors.
