I don't know a lot of web hosts and the details of them, but I have the most basic package with IMeanWebHosting.com and I love it. Their server is very reliable, and their customer service representatives are some of the nicest people I know. They always want to help, regardless the time of day, 2 am, or 2 pm, they will always reply to emails.

    I give them a 2 thumbs up!

Within the next month or so, I will be offering web hosting.

The prices and the packages have not yet been set, however they will be reasonable and competitive with typical pricing.

However I am going above and beyond to ensure the servers I lease are from a very reputable company, offering the utmost security and daily backups of your data. 99% uptime, fast servers, and friendly support. All clients would get my personal cell phone number for general support questions (How do I install wordpress? How do I add an email account?), with the more technical stuff being forwarded to a outsourced technical support staff.

All in all, for $3-$6/mo, you could get one of our basic packages which would be pretty standard. 1gb+/- of space, 10gb+/- transfer. You could host unlimited domains on that account, have unlimited email addresses and FTP accounts, and MySql databases. Your user control panel would be able to automatically install popular scripts like WordPress and Joomla, aswell as a wide assortment of image galleries, content management systems, message forums, etc.

I'm really looking into making this a "green" host, meaning the datacenters are carbon neutral, running on wind and/or solar power. Going green costs about 30% more however, but I think the reliability, the speed, the security and the good support is worth the extra money. Also, I will not oversell my packages, which many hosts do. Overselling is when you sell more packages than you have allotted diskspace, knowing your clients aren't using all of their bought space. (They sell you 10gb, they know you're only using 125mb of it, so they sell more of your space while it looks like yours is still available)

You don't want to just choose the cheapest host, because you truly get what you pay for. So many hosts offer "unlimited everything" plans for very cheap, yet often times their servers are very slow and sluggish, the support time is horrible, and they oversell like crazy.

If you're still looking for a host in the next month or so, let me know. I may be willing to offer you a free 3 month trial to test it out so you can spread the word about it and get settled in.

Its both business and personal hosting. My graphic designing is lacking, currently I use Ubuntu as my main OS on my new PC, however i'm about to set it up for dual boot. I only miss Windows for Photoshop and Lightroom, and a few other Adobe products.

I've been using Media Temple for a few years now and have had an excellent experience with them. They are one of the heavy hitters in the industry and I refer them out anytime someone asks about hosting. The basic package (which has a ton of perks) only costs $20/month. You get what you pay for in this regard.

i have been using neutrohost.com. VERY QUICK customer service. They are a partnership with hostgator.com, so they are reliable, but very very cheap compared to other hosts. Have never had a problem with them thus far.
