1. First Contact - When you make contact with the wholesaler for the first time, remember that you must be confident and prompt. Keep in mind that they are looking for people to deal their merchandise for them while you are looking for a product, so chances are they are going to supply you. However, just because they are looking for people to deal their merchandise, it does not mean you can be slack about how you act. You need to be promt and confident so that they know you are very serious about the business you want to do.
2. Stock - You must remember that stock changes each day. One day they might have a lot of one item and the next day, they might not have as many. Do not get frustrated or angry with them because while they might have different stock levels each day, it's better than them getting so angry at you for being bitter and thus kicking you from their service. Be nice and chances are, the problem will be fixed.
3. The First Impression - It is true that a first impression is important. It has been proven psychologically that someone tends to base a lot on a person by their first impression. Therefore, be kind and respectful to the supplier on your first meeting. Don't mention discounts on the items until you have been with them for a while. You don't want to seem too pushy because it might cause them to get on edge and that is dangerous for a supplier.
I hope that this helped a little bit...Enjoy!
