    A brilliant website idea

    Hi everybody,

I'm 21 years old and i am currently studying business admin but i have already acquired a proper basic education in IT and i wish i would be able to attract entrepreneurs to work with an idea that i've just came up with. I've just came up with an idea that could be an essential tool and platform for our education system in the future, no matter which country and which school you're from, it will definitely be an essential tool that we can all benefit from.
I wont be sharing out right with my idea right now, but i do hope that if there are any aspiring entrepreneurs or even IT companies out there who wish to start a business regarding the use of IT and have the capital to do so, i would love to have a partnership with you, share my ideas with you and hopefully we would be able to form a business out of an idea, and make it the most successful internet tool and be a successful business man some day.

Do send me a PM and I'll be more than glad to hear from interested parties. This will definitely be big.

    Thank you all.
    Earnest.

Your first step in making this idea happen is to take an english class at your university.

i remember when i was 17, I sent out a similar pitch to what the original poster wrote
the recipient didn't even bother replying. the result was that i learnt how to pitch and get my emails answered.
    everyone's gotta learn sometime
new founders should get cut down severely and fast so they can learn quickly

If you have plans to use your educational system for the poor kids of third world countries also , it would be a great cause. Lot of people will be ready to donate you online as they contribute to run wikipedia expenses; a great example before us.

You know, EarnestTham, lots of people have trouble pitching or explaining categorically what they want to say. Having said that I wouldn't ignore the post by Akula, but I would look upon it lightly. I have had a few people who have great ideas and just can't quite explain it properly.

I would be interested in hearing your proposal for this website, especially as it is to do with the educational system. The sector is huge, and any idea that could improve the lives and education of children should be looked into...

As I am already the founder of another student website, I believe this may be a perfect parallel project to take up. Maybe even finding a way to combine the two websites together for increased popularity and turnover.

I am only 20, and still at university, however, I would be more than happy to judge if your project is indeed feasible and give some support through my own knowledge.

Let me know if you would like to take this forward!

    Regards,
    Darren

@crate - Thank you for your encouraging reply and for taking interest in what i can offer. What i originally thought of could actually help the poor kids in the third world countries as well since internet is available almost everywhere in the world right now. I'm delighted that you've taken interest and i would like to share with you and take this forward.

How may i contact you? I cant post my email now because i have not fulfilled the 10 posts requirement.

    Regards,
    Earnest Tham

I would totally agree with the previous individuals. No one in the world cares about an idea. Ideas are cheap. Ok? Its the entrepreneurial endeavor and the execution behind the idea that is important. We totally understand your passion and desire to make it BIG but know this, you have to communicate better and be able to show results. No one, not even an investor will take your seriously with such a post. Come back to the forum and keep sharing your thoughts, questions etc. so that the advice and suggestions that the community provides helps you grow and improve yourself and the ability to pitch and convey an idea effectively.

    Good luck!

Akulas right... you're idea sucks before it even gets off the ground. Why? Because you don't have money or connections. I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist. I'm trying to save you from the hurt you're goin to get when people WITH money love to do to people like you and me who have NO MONEY. Because when you have money, you have no idea what its like... and well... take it from me... your words hurt. So now I'm on a mission to prevent people from followign my footsteps, and by that ... I mean shutting of the avenue thats going to take them down that road.

DON'T DREAM about getting rich because it WON'T HAPPEN.

"I wont be sharing out right with my idea right now,"

I have to wonder, I understand that you may be protective of your ideas, and that you think someone may snatch it from you. In reality, there are not many genuinely individual and groundbreaking ideas. If you truly have one, I apologise, but even so, I am not on here looking to poach ideas from other people, more to seek guidance and inspiration. If you are not willing to divulge a little more information, how can you expect to get the help and advice of some of the great minds on here. Business is about taking a gamble and having a little faith in yourself... and in others. So think about giving a little to get a lot.

    Just my 2cents!
