30-60k - What type of physical business ideas

Hi, I have around 30k - 60k to invest in a business. I was wondering if you guys could give some ideas of different type of business that can be started off with this money. A few ideas I got are emission testing shop, nail salon (have relatives that are working at other shops), a small gym, or a laundry mat. Other investing ideas I was thinking was buying a house and renting it out or putting it into stocks or mutual funds.

Sweet Jesus. Unless you have a lot of patience, don't be a landlord. That's something you only want to do if you have the time to do it or the money to pay a realtor.

There are a ton of things you could do with that money. You have a lot to consider. You want a physical business, but doe sit have to be local? Where are you looking to do business? How much of that money is in your pocket and how much will be borrowed? What can you afford to float monthly if the business takes 2 years to get off the ground?
Do you have any special training, education? Interests? Hobbies that consume you? I have a really good idea, but I think rather than blow up your spot or mine, you could just drop me a PM when you have a minute. I just don't know if you want that type of business.
It's not easy - life - is not easy. If it were, everyone would be doing it.

What is your background? There are a lot of businesses that can be started for that type of money.

Do you plan to work in the business? Or are you more of an entrepreneur and wanting someone else to run the business?

    What are your passions?

I have many more questions, but I think that is a good place to start.

I got 30k cash, planning on borrowing 30+ from family/loan depending on situation. Don't really have any hobbies. High school drop out, 21 years old, not much experience in businesses. Thats why I'm here asking for ideas.

Until you know what to do, drop that $30k in an ING Savings account, I would say a CD, but who knows when you will need it.
