2 inventions w/ follow-up business strategies (Please Help)

    Hey guys,

I know everybody always posts on here about how they have come up with the idea that could rival the invention of the light bulb. Well, I won't go so far as to say that, but I do believe I have come up with 2 inventions, and both of them have the chance of becoming huge successes if capitalized on, and introduced to the right markets. Both of these products are very high-tech inventions, so a prototype would probably set me back quite a bit. The best thing about both of these ideas is that they both include businesses that open up along with the invention, so the follow-up revenue could be quite substantial as well. Please help me out, because I am sick of business school. I am a junior and doing very well, but it just seems so boring, and I don't just want to "fit in" for the rest of my life. If any of you guys could help me out here with some of the following:

    1. Who to talk to, to check on patents and copyrights?
    2. Who to talk to, to build a prototype?
    3. Who to talk to, to get loans and funds to get started?
    4. Where do I go from there?
    5. What do I do with all of the money I am going to make ()?

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

P.S.- I am very tight lipped about my ideas, but I guess I could share them if is vital to you giving me advice. I guess the code for all entrepreneurs is not to steal another entrepreneur's idea.

I am also a junior in business school. I actually have an invention that is basically being put on hold due to funding issues. However, to answer your questions it basically depends on how much money you are willing to spend, Personally I would file my copyrights and patents by myself (with the help of my dad, who is a lawyer). If possible build the initial prototype to obtain a patent yourself, although you may consider paying someone to draw up the prototype for filing purposes. Good luck getting any type of funding from an institution, I have a perfect credit score for my age and banks wont touch me because I don't have a "steady" income, and if I was to get a loan, it would be a personal loan as they wont consider a business that isnt atleast 2 years old.
But, I guess my best advice is do research, dont shell out too much money to get things started.. Unless you are 100% sure things are going to take off, be frugal until it is completely necessary to spend money.
