    Good read.

People who post here asking about finance should read it too!

Btw, i hate how you have it as a popup to read it

have what as a popup? Do you mean the 'read more' option?
I usually don't use this, but I did this time because the article is really long. Maybe I will change it.

Ok, took your advice, removed it as a popup. Hopefully it is more clear now. (changed the colors around a bit too)

You mentioned buying a dormant public company? Where can these companies be bought? I'd imagine they would cost millions of dollars.

I know that in australia they're a popular financing mechanism..we call them back door listings..here's a good presentation on the process (and other issues)

to get these deals done, you'd need to speak to a specialist mid market M&A boutique, who can help you diligence the shell, price the transaction and underwrite the deal

Reverse megers will be expensive, but I listed it because it is a cheaper alternative than an IPO. It is usually around a quarter of the cost, between $100,000 to $400,000. There are literally thousands of dormant companies or 'shells'. A good way to find one is to talk to a law firm with a securities practice; a lot of times they will have a dormant public company sitting with a partner. Or accountants as well may know of some.

Once you decide you want to buy the public company though, you need to have a gameplan for how you are going to raise capital.
