Afternoon all,
Just a little heads up on something called the SPEED Plus Programme, which provides support for students & alumni who are trying to set-up their own business.
The scheme operates at Birmingham City University, Coventry University, Keele University, Staffordshire University and The University of Wolverhampton. Details for how to apply for each of the aforementioned can be found on the SPEED Plus website.
In a nutshell, you will be granted office space, access to meeting rooms, training, funding for start-up costs and access to a fantastic network. SPEED Plus is actually a follow on from "SPEED WM" which came out of the old Enterprise Fellowship Scheme (EFS).
I have personal experience of EFS as I became a fellow in 2005 upon graduation from the University of Warwick and set-up my first business within 3 months of joining. Sadly Warwick is no longer a member but the benefits are still there. I now work with SPEED Plus as a mentor and do the occasional SEO workshop.
