Best Methods of Marketing on Campus?

Have you tried to market your business on campus, or seen another business do some great on-campus marketing?

What do you think the best ways to market on a college campus are?

    To start things out...
Something I have seen done, especially for student started businesses, is using any and all forms of campus media for PR. Sometimes the campus news-paper or magazine will run stories about students who have started a business or are designing something new and innovative. Free press like that is very valuable and i think it is a great way to get your name out there to students on campus.

Because I am managing my own coffee shop, I present a dry run on our University after graduation. Give them free taste about my coffee mixes and all for free. One thing I am surely effective about marketing strategy is the said "Word of the Mouth". Yes, because of my free taste sample to the crowd my business started smoothly and until now my customers are coming back because of my creations and also the powerful marketing of word of the mouth.

GET PAID TO PARK and DRIVE MOBILE LED DIGITAL BILLBOARDS Promoting Local Business Specials Works Great

I did a campaign a few years ago on campus where I would promote local business specials through my Mobile LED Digital Billboard I would put in the back of my vehicles window and park in the most visible location on campus. I would charge local businesses a few hundred a month each, and sure enough, it created a way to earn over $2,000.00 a month in passive income. DriveFreeSigns.com is still working today. Amazing what a bright digital message board can do to promote any business, and depending on campus and area businesses, you could earn unlimited income using this advertising strategy. Pizza two for one specials were a big hit.

    Good luck,

Facebook, sporting events, or other social events. Social media is good, but it still lacks the authenticity of meeting people and making an impression in person. College campuses are completely tuned to social events and meeting people if you are actually willing to do it and succeed.

The best way to market your business is using Social Media like facebook, twitter or linkdin.

People who are making it great in the business world knows how to maximize this free yet valuable marketing tool.

As young entrepreneur with limited finances, use all the resources you can get in order to lift your business from the ground.

On a low budget the best thing would be seo, but it takes the longest.

So what I would do is, still go the seo route but depend on your backlinks for your initial traffic (articles, web 2.0 Props, videos*, forums, blogs...) I would do everything manually, you will get much better results. Do about 15 of these a day.

Funnel your traffic to the offer, -try to set up your traffics intentions to sign up before they get to the actual offer. (ON EVERY SINGLE BACKLINK) After some months you should be starting to rank depending on your initial keyword research and on-site seo. At the same time build a list so you won't lose all your traffic.

Up until then you should be making some conversions consistantly, and continue to from the traffic sources and now search engines. And now you should be utlizing your list aswell, find offers that allow you to do e-mail campaigns.

This will work, but you will have to work as well.

When marketing on campus you should create dialogue with as many people as you can NOT about business but as a person. Be that person everyone wants to be around and feel comfortable with. Sell yourself and the benefits of being a part of your business will be seen not talked about. Well that is what I do as a MCA Associate and it has been very lucrative for me.

Campus marketing is a way to experiment your thoughts on getting your proposal noticed by others. We can use various methods and examine our ways to know which scheme is more beneficial to draw peoples' attention.

I always saw college marketing as a little different, as the audience is mostly very easy to target. We did an ad for the MMA socioty on campus, we used posters to distribute the information. But we planted these things everywhere, wash rooms, bars, class rooms, bus stops there was no way that people would not see these things.

But there was alot of competition in the form of other posters, so we looked at college humor to make people stop and have a look at our posters.

As i cannot upload the image it was a picture of a very large man, shirt off, mid high kick, with his pants split. On the picture were the words "we cannot teach you to be this sexy, we can teach you to kick like this". Then the info about times and price.

    Hope this helps
I'm self funding my postgraduate, find out how http://thesfm.com/sargey18/?pg=free-training
