We tend to get more traffic to our site from Facebook. And that is because of the inner network that we know and they trust us, so they check our links. Twitter, we get less, but we get more traffic from people who we don’t know because we can start to follow people from outside our network and they checkout our website and see what we’re all about. So, we find that Twitter is better to market outside of our inner network and get more people who we don't necessarily know on to our Facebook page.

Agree, these days people expect companies to have accounts to at least FB and Twitter, if not now Pinterest and Youtube and Instagram. But I think FB gives you a lot more options and capability. Twitter is tough because it really is meant for people with short attention spans and both of them only work if someone happens to see your post while they're on the site. Which is why finding an automator to preschedule your posts is a good idea. I use the free gremln service which lets you schedule from all your accounts, and I hear hootsuite is good too. They both can track the performance of your accounts too, although I think on gremln you have to pay in order to use a "page" account with FB and not just a personal one
