Twitter can affects SEO in 3 ways

    Hi everyone.........................
As the world is being transformed by the Internet and social media, people judge a business by accessibility and transparency. Social media is more important to customer relations than ever before. Social media is a medium where businesses can reach customers on their own terms. Apart from Facebook and Linkdin Twitter can help SEO in following ways:
    Social Signals
Both Google and Bing have admitted that social media signals are being incorporated into the search algorithm as a ranking factor.

    Author Authority
Author authority is why it is important to take the time to actually build a Twitter profile and connect with real, human users.

    Brand Awareness
If you think the only goal of SEO is to rank number one, you’re missing the bigger picture. Of course you want to rank well, but SEO is also designed to increase your overall online presence and brand awareness so your target audience can more easily find you.

The advent of social media has brought a host of changes to the SEO industry, and online marketing as a whole. You would be hard-pressed to find a business with a decent online presence that does not have a Twitter account connected to their website, and at least one way to find that account.

Agree 100%. Seo moz released a great post on this years ranking factors and social signals seemed to play an increasing role. Although it would be nice to know what social signals carry more weight. I also hear rumors of social signals over taking backlinks, but not sure when this will come into effect. Its a great move to get rid of spam on google's behalf though. Which means the internet is heading in the right direction.
