Good question,
Most people are just now discovering the power of social media platforms, but when it comes to making money with social media, the only ones making money are those who are using member posts to explode their incomes, while most members scramble to monetize their member pages. Back when FaceBook first announced their beta testing of fan page, it got me interested, and yes, you can more easily monetize this feature and some have, but like all companies like FaceBook, it is all about company profits, so they provide a few crumbs for members to scramble over, but few are making much unless the learn how to make their fan pages viral, and work on passive level.
Like everything involving internet marketing, the world is changing, and our potential markets are no longer local as it was when I started utilizing the internet before it went commercial. The power of the internet has grown to a point that you can now market worldwide, and with new 50 language translator program I have been beta testing, now you can communicate with international client and prospects easily by joining new International Social Business Commerce Network where you give away this new TurboTalk Translator program as an incentive to have others to join network designed to reward members mutually, both business owners and consumer members can save and create an extra income.
The sky is the limit when you decide to expand your business and marketing worldwide. With so many now waking up to the power of social media networking. Just look at the growth of FaceBook, YouTube, Groupon, LivingSocial, LinkedIn and the dozens of smaller attempts to monetize the internet, there will always be new technologies and strategies to explore to help your business create more passive traffic to your business websites, and I think social media is the future for businesses and no longer will you have to waste tons of time trying to monetize your member sites, the concept of making money first and foremost for members will emerge as the only way to make money online, and save money as a consumer. Building a platform targeted to businesses and consumers who want to save money is a strong strategy I see emerging in social media space.
Social marketing strategies that I use for my websites are:
# Blog posts in my website.
# Blog commenting on high ranking sites.
