    Would be banker

Hi, was going to be an investment banker but then the world collapsed so now I’m coming to the end of business school and thinking thats not a good place to be right now, but it could be the best time in history to start a business so that's what i'm going to do. The one minor problem is I have no idea what to start!

Bit of background, I used to work for one of the worlds major financial papers (there’s only two so you have a 50-50 chance of guessing which one) so I have a good journalistic and PR background, also, great with numbers especially when applied to equations that have no meaning- stochastic volatility, IRR, bond valuation etc.

Happy to offer free PR advice to anyone but stress I am not a PR, I just dealt with them and decided whose stories got printed.

In times of recesioon look at what business do well, for example music seems to sail through the storm, cheap consumer alternatives for fodd and drink, clothing etc, look at Lidle!

failing that , self defense items like cs gas, and arms/guns as robberies always increase, man i could go on for ages lol...

Flexibilty and be ready to pounce when you see the right opportunity amigo...

You said you have a strong journalistic and PR background...do you actually enjoy this work? Is it something you would want to continue doing?

Maybe you could consider writing about some narrower finance topics--maybe on a particular industry, financial market (ie: equities, derivatives, etc). Or maybe you can put together an information product for beginner, intermediate or advanced strategies for trading in a particular market.

There are a lot of options to choose from, but what type of work interests you the most? Is it writing? Internet market? Retail? What work related tasks do you think you would most enjoy?
