    Wink What's wrong with me?

    Hi,

I'm new in this forum, just joined a week ago & posted few.

I've been doing domain business & blogging more than a year already. Before that, more than 2 years ago, I used to work on a website, which cost me a fortune & give me nothing in return!

What's wrong with me - I am still not hitting the big buck yet? Anyone can share with me how he/she made her big bug in internet?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks & regards,
    Ian Kree

You need a great vision that's compelling to a specific audience. Then you've got to reach out to them with a compelling message that drives them there, and create an experience that lives up to their expectations.

Is it more complicated than that? You bet. Just start by asking yourself those key questions, and making sure you've got great answers for them.

    Good luck!

    Firstly, welcome to the forum.

There's nothing wrong with you. Countless people have worked hard and lost alot of money without becoming successful. That's the nature of business.

    Welcome to the forum!

There are millions (or billions?) of blogs in this world, but only a very small percentage has decent earnings, let alone earning big bucks. The internet is oversupplied with similar services and overpromise a lot of people.

You have the same problem I did when I started.

You are looking so hard to make a lot of money, so much that it doesnt work. Just relax and find something you love pouring your time into and the money will come. I promise, it happened to me.

    Hi Bill,

Thanks for your advice. Yes, I agree with you. As I going along, I seen many things that made me to think "gee, I should have know", "gee, I should have do that" and so on. I do get better day by day, learning from my mistake. The "tuition fee" is quite expensive but still cheaper than taking MBA. Hahaha.

    Thanks again.

    Ian

First, I would say to forget about domain trading if that's what you mean by domain business. You may be able to sell several domains for three and four figure amounts but you won't be able to create big, long term cash flow from that.

Second, why isn't your website making money? Is it not receiving traffic? The reason your website hasn't been successful could be because you're marketing it wrong. How do you market it?

Third, blogging is no longer the way to make big bucks. As someone said above the market is saturated. There are more blogs than imaginable and the number is growing significantly everyday.

It's hard to assess what you're doing right or wrong without seeing the blog. Just because you work with the Internet doesn't mean you're going to be rich, though.

    Best of luck to you!

I agree with ROB2009 I really think that if you are passionate about something, you will work on it without feeling like work, you wont mind your time that has passed, and with anything you are passionate about, you make it a point to make it work. U need to find a system that supports you, with other like minded people telling you how they did it.
Alot of success principle books will tell you to find a mentor and follow what they did. Your in the right place, in a forum with tons of likeminded people. It will come to you what you need to do.

They say the definition of insane is doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting a different result. Find something proven and go for it!

BeTheChange, thanks for your opinion. Yes, I do agree with you. FYI, my passion in online business, I guess, lies in domaining. I do domaining not only for money but also as a hobby (& as a sport!). I am addicted to it. Finding good & valuable domain is not an easy task. When I found one (normally I checked first with estibot), my adrenaline level fly! Sometime I purposely delay the purchase to see whether I can forget about the good domain I found or not. About half of the time, I came back to the registrar & made my purchase.

I haven't close any deal yet but I'm positive. I'm glad that I'm not really pressured domaining. I do feel relaxed. The stress feeling does come once a while - especially when I get my credit card bill.

    Thanks & regards,
    Ian Kree
