I majored in English. Now, I'm studying for a Master's in the subject.
We humanities grads aren't exactly known for our entrepreneurial chutzpah, especially in the online space. Few of us have the technical chops or know-how to launch an internet startup; we'd much rather curl by a fire and read a book than deliberate on the Next Big Thing online.
And yet, here I am, among you proud entrepreneurs, ready to be one like you.
Ever since I was a boy, there were only three kinds of people I found, ahem, sexy: musicians, writers, and entrepreneurs.
Since I was born tone deaf, being a musician was out of the question, though I do know the opening chords to Hotel California, thank you very much.
Being a writer has always been a passion. But writers tend to be poor. I'm not a big fan of poor.
So as an entrepreneur, here I am.
At present, as I mentioned, I am studying for my Master's in English from the University of Delhi, India.
I'm also the founder of a stealth startup that's doing some cool things with content aggregation (can't give details). We're moving slow because of the paucity of time a post-graduate student has.
At the same time, I also run a (recently launched) blog on startups - you can see the address in my signature.
Thanks for reading this long and winded introduction. It's exciting to be here!
