    The New and Improved Christopher

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Christopher and I have been on and off this board for the past year maybe 2 years. Throughout various business ventures. I have been trying to find what I really love and decided I really love starting businesses (I am pretty good at it from what people tell me)--I just normally come up with new ideas which I think are better than my first. I also love the Internet, technology, Internet marketing, designing websites, etc.

So I put 2 together and came up with i-Business Consultants. I do not know what this will bring me if anything but have decided to specialize in Consulting & Developing (Opening) New Internet Start-Ups. I think this brings me to where I want to be, combining everything together. I researched it and not many firms are focusing purely on Internet start-ups mostly on B&M and the "oh I can design a site for you". I have the knowledge and am taking some classes in college for E-commerce and web design and entrepreneurship.

My father told me it is important to stick with what you know and love and the money will follow--don't chase trends. I am not sure how accurate this is, but decided to listen to him (where are all those hedge fund managers now?).

So what do you guys think? Is this whole idea worthy? Some stats to back it up:
    • Internet sales are expected to grow 10.7% over the next 4 years.
    • New Internet based businesses open every day.
    • I own a sweet domain name: i-businessconsultants.com
    • Low competition from a Consulting/Developing Internet start-up perspective.
    • MillionDollarHomepage.com, eBay.com, Amazon.com, BlueNile.com, are all successful Internet start-ups. (so business through the Internet is viable)
    • Low cost start-up (service/Internet based).
    • 24% of Business Consultants in the world do not have a college degree. (not really to back it up--but I grew up with the Internet and in a small family-owned business, running it--so perhaps I know more)
Everyone has constructive criticism and I respect that. So let the bashing begin. Thank you for reading my rant.

Yeah, I been on and off thanks Gene. Business ideas run through my mind like Hugh Hefner goes through girlfriends.

I'm thinking of doing website flipping but who knows? Or like a website brokerage service where its personal, your actually finding someone to buy the site, get a commission kind-of thing. I'm not sure if you can make money with either..
