tap, tap, tap... "Is this thing on?"

Hello all, stumbled onto the forum, browsed around a bit and joined before remembering I'm not as young as I thought I was. Hope you hold no ill regards for us geezers over 30 something.

From what I've read in the forums so far there certainly seems to no lack of enthusiasm and opinion, two vices I feel strongly about and both of which I think prerequisite for most successful entreprenuerial ventures.

Tho I'm not much of one to soap-box about my personal career(s) I `spose a short bit of backstory wouldn't hurt.

Currently I work as a designer/partner in a small 3-person design shop where, aside from the below mentioned client types, I also develop portal (vortal) sites for niche markets and small communities.

Most recently (last 5 years) I've been developing websites for dentists with perfect teeth, surgeons with trophy wives (and husbands), retail stores that make millions with no inventory and just about anybody else that wants to pony up the coin for good design and compliant code.

Before that I spent the previous 20 something years as a commercial photographer producing print campaigns for magazines and billboards along with tons of the obligatory catalog jobs that kept bread and butter on the table.

Anything earlier than the 70's is kinda foggy, I think I owned a used record store as I've still got this tatoo on my ankle of a flying eyeball but... don't quote me on that.

I look forward to meeting a few of you (always looking for like-minds and collaboration) and hope I've not snoozed you with my rambles.
