Question T-Shirt Questions and Business Info needed.

Curious to know if anyone in here has started their own T-shirt company? I am taking it on, and been online since October. I have recently updated the site, and will be updating it more frequently. I am about to start a linking campaign, and looking for the most optimum approach to linking. Anyone have ideas that have worked for them??

Hey Jason,

As I mentioned in your other thread, I would look into hooking up your store at least partially with www.cafepress.com and possibly other similar online shops. They're building up strong traffic bases for people to leverage their unique product designs off their platform.

Agree-

Cafepress wont hurt even if you want to your printing and distribution in addition.

I will join you soon a couple Tshirts ideas. CP rocks. Suer they could be more generous with their commissions and especially their owner/wholesale pricing but hey they gotta float too...

Good luck

I've thought about starting a screen printing business. Or maybe I'll just do stuff for myself. I've been goofing around doing one color designs, it seems that ideas and artwork are the hardest part, all the other work involved seems easy.
I'd be interested to know how you're business is doing and how you started and all that.

Funny enough making t-shirts is basically what brought me to this site. I have the art, designs, logos (basically all the creative done) but I'm concerned about protecting the designs once they go into production.

I'm up here in Canada and I apologize for hijacking the thread but does anyone know about copywriting artisitc property.

Good luck with your website, it looks great.

U.S. Copyright Office (I don't know about Canada). I used to register my music with them. I'd get the form I needed and send them that, two copies of the work, and a money order ($30 I think it was).

Or maybe Canadian Copyright Office? I googled it but haven't really looked into it much.

Hey Hetero,
I have start pre-development on site that is creating t-shirts, called www.fanaticprints.com allows folks to create their own shirt with pictures they have taken. The current site is coming down, and I plan replace it with this new one I have been doing. Perhaps when it is complete we can swap traffic or something.
