My name is John. I just moved from Bowling Green, KY to Boca Raton, FL.
Currently working on wrapping up an undergrad and beginning my MBA at Florida Atlantic.
Spent 4 years in Marine Corps...presidential guard/infantry assaultman., martial arts instructor.
Went to school in D.C. while on active duty. Lost about 5o hrs. +/- when transferring to WKU after discharged in 2005 (will have BA-Business Marketing with about 200 hrs.) . Went to work while in school in KY for family in Commercial Real Estate Development. I ran project management for all NNN investment properties as well as Leasing and Sales director
While working as a project manager, I was taken on by Franchise Development Group, Inc. and KY R-T-O to get franchises developed and marketing plans launched.
Successfully, over the course of four years...I contributed (SOLELY) to :
1. Approximately $7.5M in added value to all represented shopping centers.
2. Net approximately $1M through two build-to-suit salebacks.
3. Effectively planned and opened three (3) mid-market locations for national rent-to-own furniture, electronics and appliance company as well as two (2) national pizza/arcade res/buffets.
I fell a victim to an ignorant employer who mismanaged about $150M in supposed "construction" loans. Those funds are sitting in his personal assets....probably to be taken any day (if you think bank regulators don't eff around...guess again)
Long story short, I've done a lot and learned a lot on all fronts of business. I hope that through my trials, tribulations, success and leadership experience...I have something to give to all who come here looking for two cents that hold their value...same token, different president--I hope to learn a LOT from all of you for none of us know it all,
