    re-newing my intro...its been a while

It has been a LONGGGGGG time since ive posted here.

Been busy with an actual job, girlfriends, and being a normal teenager...lol

now I am starting to feel that want for my own thing again, i used to run a few semi-successful websites but never had the funding to keep them going. I was always using the lowest hosting plans, never paying for advertising, and wondering why I was only making 100/month (Which was still fine by me because when I started I was 14, no bills, no girlfriend..etc)

But now Im almost 17, going into my senior year of high school, and the bills are adding up (car payment, car insurance, cell phone, clothes, girls, etc.) and my normal part time job making 7.50 an hour just isnt going to cut it.

My immediate future holds an ecommerce website for computer products, while utilizing ebay as well as local stores to sell through. I only hope to profit about 300-500/month from this, so the markup on these products will be very low.

My future in about 5 years is owning and operating my family's auto repossession business. (dangerous, fun, and money maker. just what i need)...but before then I have the opportunity to spend 4 years getting a business administration degree.

So i will try and stay active on these forums to pass on what I know to some of yall here from my past, and also learn some new things... This is my first run in with ecommerce, so I will have plenty of questions for yall..

    Im glad to be back,

    Rob

    Welcome back to YE Rob!

Its a good thing that you started business at a very young age. Now that you have plenty of experience, you will not find any trouble in operating your family's business. It is great that you are going to pursue your studies and I hope it will lead you to success.

    Hi Rob 2009

    Welcome to YE

Bill Moran here in the UK

Has anyone ever recommended that you read The Richest Man in Babylon - if you check my threads it is one of the main books I recommend to people?

An interesting way to begin working towards your financial freedom is to list your monthly out goings - firstly find ways to reduce them i.e. shop around - next identify ways to earn passive incomes to repay each

    For example Car insurance - $400 / y = $33.34 / m or $7.70 / w
Shop around - if your family are in the Car Repo trade they may have some contacts or the internet reduce the bottom line figure - next find a way to pay the $7.70 - it could be advertising / gaining more business for your family business or someone elses NOT swapping your valuable time for $

Do this for each of your debts till they are covered - time leverage opposed to spending time
