Scenario (QuickBooks Pro 2009)
QuickBooks Company: ABC Company
Two Bank Accounts
Chequing #1 - for General Maintenance
Chequing #2 - for Special Projects
I want to move funds from Chequing #1 and put into Chequing #2 under the account category “Senior Citizens Building Project.”
How do I move funds from #1 to #2 and have the $ go into appropriate category? If I just transfer funds the money is not posted to category.

Hi, You can simply do what you wanting by doing a journal entry in quickbooks and debit the appropriate funds.
