    New Member Help Thread

I've been receiving numerous PM's lately asking how to use certain features of the site/forum. You may refer to this thread in the future when you have any questions about certain features/functionality on YoungEntrepreneur.

    Setting Up Your Signature
Setting up a forum signature is very easy to do. First, go to the User Control Panel. You can control just about anything in here. Then, read through the links on the navigation bar to the left and select Edit Signature under "Settings and Options". Create your signature and click save once you are done.

    Managing Your Thread Subscriptions
Editing your thread subscriptions is very easy to do. First, go to the User Control Panel. You can control just about anything in here. Then, read through the links on the navigation bar to the left and select Edit Options under "Settings and Options". In the second table from the top, under "Messaging & Notification", you will see an option to edit your subscriptions called "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Here you can change your subscription settings. If you want to view or delete your subscriptions, you can go to the List Subscriptions page. Be sure to save your settings after you edit them.

    Mark Posts As Read
If you would like to mark all of the current "unread posts" as read, so they are no longer in the New Posts, simply click the link on the bottom of the Forum Index that says Mark Forums Read

    Adding An Avatar
An avatar is an icon or picture that represents you when you make a new post. To add an Avatar to your posts, go to the User Control Panel and under "Settings and Options" select Edit Avatar. From here, you can upload your own avatar or select one from the default avatars provided by YoungEntrepreneur.

I will add more topics to this thread as often as possible, depending on how much free time I have available.

I can't seem to find the feedback and suggestion post but is it possible to add a "Mark All As Read" feature, I think someone else suggested this previously. It's really annoying to go to the "new posts" link only to find no new updates and the forum sometimes thinking you haven't read some of the posts and reposting them as new.

It already exists on the bottom of the forum index.

The option isn't available under new posts, only in individual forum indexes. The problem as previously mentioned is that the forum has a bug where it'll display threads that I've already opened and sometimes mark them as new even after I refresh the "new posts" section.

I know this is a bit late, I haven't been very active on the forum lately due to the launch of my new business. However, if this is still a problem, I recommend reporting it to Garyrae in this thread. He is the site developer and I'm sure he can work to solve the issue.

@Anderson23 it means that you have to have a minimum of 10 posts before you can add a link to either a post or a signature, this means we can see who is spamming the forum to be able to post a link and if we see people are spamming we take steps to rectify it.
