New guy looking for some advice to get started
Currently I am a successful marketer for DME sales. I, like many of you, am looking at trying to build something of my own. Problem is, I have absolutely no idea how to get started. No one in my family has ever going the route of the Entrepreneur. I am absolutely certain that I can sell. My difficulty is how do I decide what to sell? How do I find industry trends, hot industries? What do I need to learn to start get going? Would you recommend any books? Are there networking entrepreneur clubs or groups I may join? Apprenticeship?
My idea is to do something in the Medical Industry. My apologies for being how shall we say, naive. But I got to do something and I'm not sure where to turn. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome. One question for you Dalten. What would you see yourself enjoying doing? Could you see the fun in selling something like Medical supplies and find it fun and worthwhile or do you see yourself selling something lke music or fashion??

Hello Dalton and welcome to YE! It depends on your interest and if you'll know its profitable why don't you start on it? And the forum will help you give advice and to consult with. So good luck on your chosen venture.

What's up,
Take it from someone who has built a profitable business only to wake up and think, "Is this all there is to life." Can you believe that money doesn't really make you happy? Still blows me a way....
First, what is the most fun thing you could possible imagine doing all day? Don't judge, write a list. Then narrow it down. Don't worry you heart will tell you which one to start on. And you gotta listen to your heart. Otherwise you get to experience what I did (making money and hating life).
And yes this is exactly what I did. I wrote a list, narrowed it down, figured out how I was going to get paid to do it (that took a while) and today i'm the founder of my own entrepreneurial nation. It works my friend so happy thinking figuring out how to have fun all day (cause if you aren't getting paid to have fun, why bother)

Research is what you will want to do. An important part of what you are doing is research. The company will be successful before you even create it, MEANING the companies success will depend upon your initial business model/plan. READ ALL YOU CAN.
