    New..

I'm 18 and a freshman in college (full time & live on campus) and I own my landscape contracting firm. Let's just say life get's pretty hectic in spring and fall when work gets going and I'm in school. I plan to major in accounting and get my CPA asap and plan to work as a CPA and eventually start my own accounting firm, all while owning my current business. With my current projections, my business will run itself by the time I graduate college.

Yeah it's at the top of my priority list. Without it I won't be able to be a CPA.

Been a while since I've been here and I never got the email notif of a reply, strange...
No my customers are not where my school is. It's a few hours away from home (customers are in that area). I have a crew that does the labor, my foreman drives my work truck & trailer and I have one employee that works with him, my foreman does maintenance on equipment, billing, and some of accounting. I pay him very well for the work he does. He does more than the industry standard foreman, however I compensate him for that (just covering myself for anyone who thinks he doesnt make what he's worth). I schedule my estimates for the weekends (leave school thurs after class and stay until sunday evening) and when I am home to do estimates I do the accounting that my foreman doesnt do (the monthly reports) and on occasion go out with my crew and do some of the labor, something I enjoy but dont get the time to until summer when I am not at school.
