Hello All,

Yes, literally, 'am a nerd (academically). I am about
to graduate with an MBA by summer '06. I am
full-time employed, currently in Dallas, TX.
I am also a techinical geek, you get the idea :-))

Currently, I am working on a small idea with a couple of
friends; Goal is to have a demo (its software).

If there are any mentors (for time being, 'am looking for only free advice, 'cant afford to pay right now)
'would like to hear! or if there are any good websites
please let me know.

BTW, I would like to hear any stories about slowly
moving away from regular job and doing a start-up altogether. In particular, I would like to have some
details on LLC or C/S corp in Texas about cost, paperwork and any other material... Are there any
free or affordable clubs/groups in Dallas to get into?
I want to network a bit.

I know that they arent right next door -- but this group meets regularly and has set up other groups across the country. Im willing to bet they have something in Dallas as well

My company is based in Dallas, Texas. I would suggest joining the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Joining the Dallas Chamber of Commerce is good, but they do not have the same amount of activities as the North division. The North Division has regular functions where you may go and network.

Welcome to the board...as for Corps and LLC's in texas....Google is your best friend for that. Or just go to the texas state department of finance/taxation website.
