Need Advise

Hi guys, i just joined this group n i need some advise. I'm from Ghana and am currently working with an IT company for the past 6 years. For a while now, i havent been happy with what i do. I want to start my own company but i sometimes get scared on whether i would be able to make it out there on my own. Starting a buz. on your own is not easy and i dont want to regret my action even though deep down within me...i dont think i would be very happy working for somebody. Can someone advise me on what to do?

First off be confident... I got depressed reading this... I don't know you, your skills, or your financial situation so I can't advise you as to what you should do. Going into to business isn't hard but it isn't easy. The day you give up your guaranteed paycheck is liberating yet frightening. I gave up mine April 2nd, 2007 and haven't looked back.

How old are you... do you have a family to support?

I would recommend you start out small. Everyone looks for this easy BIG jump and it just doesn't exist for the most part. Start doing some work on the side and decide what you really LOVE to do and then begin building that business up on the side so that you can perhaps cut back your hours and eventually leave your "job-job".
