A bit about me:
Ed Nash, 18, is a speaker, philanthropist and serial Internet entrepreneur based in Somerset, UK.
"He is currently working with Steve Pankhurst (Co-Founder of Friends Reunited) on Bandstocks, an innovative record label where the fans invest and the artists take charge. His current social venture is ‘LamboFaces’, a philanthropic collaboration with The Makunduchi Project and Zamaretto. LamboFaces is on a mission to raise £100,000 to build a hospital on the island of Zanzibar by encouraging 100,000 individuals to contribute £1 each to have their face painted on the “World’s First Peoples Lamborghini” which will be auctioned on eBay. Several UK actors and actresses have already uploaded their face including Emma Thompson, Jim Carter, Imelda Staunton and Greg Wise.
Ed initially caught the entrepreneurial bug at age 12. After searching online for ways to make money he decided to try his hand at setting up online shopping portals and immediately proceeded to launch his first site, Rediz.com. While he considers it a ‘commercial failure’ his limited success in building increased traffic and generating a small amount of revenues as a kid provided enough inspiration for him to start a new venture leveraging the lessons learned.
With a loan that was reluctantly given to him by his parents and sisters along with the money he earned from Rediz, Ed was able to fund his next venture, which was the purchase of an established PPC Search Engine Site. While he immensely loved working on the site, due to his inexperience the venture failed miserably and his sisters were none too happy to say the least.
Having completely exhausted his only known lines of credit by the age of 13, he decided that he would have to rebuild his small fortune from scratch. After several years of small commercial failures and successes, establishing a small but growing portfolio of loyal professional clients and learning the ins and outs of Internet Marketing, at the ripe age of 16 Ed started a new venture called ClastaZ, an online music portal. ClastaZ started small but eventually traffic began to soar and reached the Top 90,000 sites in the world. In 2007 he sold a small percentage of the company for a large GBP sum."
