    Just saying Hi!

    Hey Everyone,

My name is Billy, I am a 22 year old senior at a University in the states majoring in Entrepreneurship and Management.

I have been running my own ecommerce business since I was 15 years old, and the money has helped me not have to keep a part time 'job' while in college. The side money was great, but now its time to make some real money.

I have come to a crossroads in my life. I am about to graduate in the next few months and it is either follow my dream of being one bad ass entrepreneur or go work a 9-5 job with a corporation. I dread the latter.

So here I am, hoping to turn one of my 1000000 ideas into reality.

I am currently working on an idea for a social networking site (yeah, I know another one of those) but I promise this one is different from every other Facebook, Myspace clone out there. This has a niche, its interactive, and its interesting.

So, I am just saying hi. If you happen to be interested in my idea, I could really use someone who has been here before to mentor/partner up with me. Feel free to PM me.

    Thanks,

    Billy

    Hey Billy,
Welcome to YE! If you need help around hit me up.

So whats your idea? Have you thought of starting a niche-forum instead?

I had this idea for an accounting social network so what I did was create a facebook fan page and advertise it as much as possible and when my site was completed I will redirect them. Instead of building a social networking site I built a forum and redirected my facebook fans, though it hasnt really worked as succesfully as I hoped (facebook fans-600+ , forum members 47)

    But its all about persevering

Why would someone use a forum and only get a small piece of the pie, when they can get the whole pie aka myspace/ facebook? Something to think about. I'd like to know more about the idea tho.
