Hi Adam,
Welcome to the board! It is a pleasure to have you on. I did some of my schooling in New York in Computer Science/Business. I've been an entrepreneur since around 1992. During my school years I had a decent job, but quickly learned that it would take more than a job to live comfortably, so I took a small risk, left my comfort zone of New York and relocated to California.
I would have never learned the new things that I learned if I had not made my move. I really enjoyed the learning at school, but I also realized that schools on their own, are nothing more than business structures, with class materials as their products and students as their clients. Anything that I was learning at the class was also being thought to thousands of other students. Sometimes what really set you apart from your peers is doing some extra work. I remembered when I first landed my first big job. All the things that I was doing there, were mostly things that I had learned on the side.
I love learning about new ventures. I generally get 2-3 new ideas weekly and have been documenting them since 1999.
Again, welcome, and I hope that you get to find some great connections here! It would be nice to know what it is that you are majoring in.
