I am so grateful that there is a forum like this on the internet. I have always been an entrepreneur (a frustrated one, admittedly), and it's so nice to see other young people who are also entrepreneurial. It seems that a lot of people my age that I meet are not interested at all in starting up their own businesses, and I have never understood why. I can only imagine that it has something to do with the fact that entrepreneurial spirit is something that one is either born with or isn't.

Anyway, I am currently an accountant in a public accounting firm and, while the job is not horrible, I cannot imagine staying in this position for very long. I feel suffocated here. I need to break out. I feel I absolutely must start something of my own in order to truly feel as though I am living a fulfilling and full life. Something I am the creator of. Something I determine. My destiny is mine alone and I am not answering to someone else, or letting someone else determine how much I am worth.

I have always known deep down that I am an entrepreneur. And I think that's one of the reasons I have been so unhappy for so long actually. Because I've known that I was destined to create my own vision and I have, as of yet, done nothing about it. But I am doing something about it now.

I am currently in the process of creating a business I have envisioned for months. It is a weight loss supplement, and yes I know it is a very crowded industry, but I feel that I have a unique angle on it that could, even with a very low market penetration (given the sheer number of incredibly obese people in America), could make me a very respectable income.

But this is just a business I am interested in to start with. I actually do not like the diet industry long-term because I feel there is too little barrier to entry and I also feel that the FDA is one day going to crack down on this industry (as currently, distributors/manufacturers can pretty much say whatever the heck they want without any FDA scrutiny). But I still think this is a good industry to get into at first, and then I am hoping to branch out into real estate (parking garages, or other passive income sources, not sure yet).

Anyway, I am rambling, but I am happy to find a forum where other young people with similar goals and mindsets and dreams can congregate. I have read some of the articles on this site for a while, but I am a first-time poster.
