Hello everyone,
After posting over 30 messages, I realized that I shot first and asked questions later, when in reality I should have introduced myself first and then started posting. I guess it's the entrepreneurial spirit after all!
Well, I've been an entrepreneur since around 1992. I started out in New York and then relocated to California.
I went to school for computer science/business and shortly after I moved to California in 2001 where I had the opportunity to get my Real Estate license. Worked Real Estate for two years and then got back to my computer/business field.
Currently I own over 50 domains, which I divided into the following six industries:
- Business
- Wholesale & Retail
- Service & Media
- Entertainment
- Education
- Non-profit
I launched a community driven site in 1999 that now averages a little over a million hits per month:
http://www.garinet.com
One of my main entertainment sites is:
http://www.puntamusic.com
my main services site is:
http://www.garidigital.com
In the passed year or so I've spent a lot of my time documenting my processes and procedures to expand internationally with about 30 individuals. I have done some basic implementation of ISO and also looked into Six Sigma.
As far as technology, I have designed, coded and implemented a content management system, an Automated E-commerce system and several hundreds of small applications to accommodate for my businesses and my client's growth.
I have also been experimenting with customer relationship management (CRM) and project management solutions to increase efficiency.
I'm a big fan of automated software systems. I try to stay updated with the latest in my field as much as I can by reading daily, contributing the little that I know in forums and spreading the word on those things that really attract my attention.
I get bored when my brain is not in motion, so I try to stay as busy as I can. On the average I come up with at least 2-3 solid ideas weekly, which I've been documenting since 1999.
One of the latest additions to my entertainment arm is a project called Open Fan Club, which is suppose to allow fans to discuss topics about their entertainers. I'm planning on using this new service as a way to increase sales on my music shopping sites, as well as a value-added feature to those entertainers that get their websites developed through my service’s division.
Finally, I really love to make a positive influence in people's lives by helping out/contributing as much as I can.
Not to bore you with this stuff, but I guess that's it for now and thank you all for making this forum a great place to spend a lot of my time on
