    Im in Australia

Hey there, Im from the UK but im currently a backpacker in Australia.

As an Entrepreneur do you hate the thought of going for an interview for a job someone is offering and having to prove to the person interviewing you that your suitable and all that shit.

You see im looking for a job in Sydney because im poor and im just not motivated to find anything. I've always wanted to start a business and have a few ideas.

I know you have to sell your product as an entrepreneur and basically in an interview for a job your selling yourself, but the thought that you are going for a job where someone in authority is going to be over you just kills any motivation to try well in an interview even if you need the money.

    Does this apply to anyone?

Yeh it does but you have to change your whole approach. Look at it as if your own them and there paying you to be trained.

You really have to change your perspecitive what happens when you need to sell to an investor and they have all the power.

I agree with both responses to this post.
Your attitiude, means everything! Saying that, I used to feel the way you do,
that's why I got inot business for myself, got sick of making someone else money.

Are you still looking for work? If so I have something that may interest you, and
you'll be able to work it from the UK when/if you go back.
If you're interested email or PM me.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

    great posts on this thread.

And indeed your attitude determines your altitude. You have to humble yourself, but not necessarily compromise yourself...and YES you can do both

I don't think you should be trying to sell yourself, you want them to make an offer to "buy" you and if the offer isn't good enough you need to stand up and walk away. You can work for someone and still be an 'entrepreneur', actually that is what brings you both value--- it is called having an entrepreneurial mindset. If you think independently i.e. you as a personal brand without compromising their corporate values and objective then that is what helps you create new business and business opportunities for them and recognition and advancement for yourself. With advancement comes experience and that ultimately may serve as a great platform to start your own business. You don't need to do anything that is related to what they do, in fact it is better when you get out there to do the thing that really interests you. The model generally works the same, exchange product or service for money Of course there are a few details in between but you get the gist.

Another note, when you try to sell yourself it means you are seeking approval from them in some respect. You and the interviewee don't need to agree on anything, you just need to understand where each other is coming from and be respectful. And above all else, it's so simple that it's complex. Just be yourself!
