I am from the UK.

I have been working on a business idea and researching on it for the past six months or so.

I now feel it is the right time to go full throttle, since I finish university in about 3 months time, and with the current economic climate, I could do with some extra money on the side.

So I hope to enjoy my time here and collate as much information as I can.

When describing your business, generally you should explain:

Legalities - business form: proprietorship, partnership, corporation. The licenses or permits you will need.
Business type: merchandising, manufacturing or service. What your product is.
Is it a new independent business, a takeover, an expansion?
Why your business will be profitable.
What are the growth opportunities?
When your business will be open (days, hours)?
What you have learned about your kind of business from outside sources (trade suppliers, bankers, other inventors and manufacturers, publications).
Also, in the describing your invention, describe the unique aspects and how or why they will appeal to consumers. Emphasize any special features that you feel will appeal to customers and explain how and why these features are appealing.
