Good aye Gavin,

It's nice to see a fellow tasmanian floating around on here. Nice websites, am i right in assuming your marketing business is relatively newly launched?
I am actually looking into heading into the marketing business myself...however with a more bricks and mortar sense than a web focus as your business seems to be.
Just a quick question i noticed you have a large selection items on your print website and was just wondering if you do the printing inhouse or whether you outsource it?

Cheers,
JB

Hey JBasaurus,

Firstly, thanks heaps for the response! good to see Tasmania well-represented

While I probably appear to be your average Gen-Y "One of those internet types", I try and keep my opinions on Marketing and Media rather neutral. There are so many ways to engage consumers other than through the internet!

Internet Marketing - I'm really confident that in Internet Marketing, I can always offer clients a product which is going to generate a positive ROI, practically every time. On the internet, you can gauge results and have a lot more Pay-for-Results type marketing.

Print - All of my printing is outsourced through a network of discount printers around Australia. I either try and make bulk-buying agreements with printers or simply shop around to find cheaper prices. Personally, I don't bother trying to be overly creative with print-specifications, so generic works well for me (we pay more attention to creative copywriting on the brochures and the methods of distributing them).

Thanks.

It may surprise you to find out i'm one of those Gen Y's also.

Sorry, i wasn't saying you were particularly computer based, that was just my first impressions after checking out your web pages and a youtube vid of your web hosting package.

Sounds like your framework and philosophies are very solid!
You wouldn't have happened to have studied marketing at UTAS would you?

Cheers, JB

JBasaurus,

I've been enrolled for (I think) 14 business units in the last 3 years and I've passed 5 of them!

I'd like to have a uni degree (Accounting and Marketing), but every time I intend on going, it gets to the first few lectures of the semester and I end up having appointments that overlap and business comes first! So I just end up giving it the flick for another semester.

Sounds like a nasty HECS debt!

I do know the feeling, i'm studying currently too...however there is always an idea or a market survey which needs to be worked on.

Anyway how's business? Ready to attack AT+M marketing? haha

Nice to meet you,
JB

JBasaurus,

Business is moving along well, the main thing I am working on at the moment is TasHome.com.au (Also a magazine and a few other marketing products) and RawOnline.com.au.

I'm not so sure I'd consider AT&M Marketing a competitor.

No, your right they are probably not...
So your heading into the construction/home design field predominantly?

I like the look of your web hosting package, great functionality and WYSIWYG intergration...did you do all the coding? Looks very polished.

JBasaurus,

I would like to setup the Raw Marketing Group as a company which seeks to develop boutique marketing services for specific target audiences. "TasHome" is a subsidiary setup to provide marketing packages for businesses in that particular area. I'm also working on developing a more hole proof Internet Marketing package .... Hopefully before long, we will be able to provide a ROI Guarantee, which would be awesome, but hard to do! (proving to a business they got a good return would be the hard bit).

RawOnline CMS
I didn't actually program any of it myself, I worked with the guy who built it, but he only ever built it to make websites for his clients, he didn't have any intention of selling licenses. He was happy for me to do it though.
