Help! I Need A Web Developer!

Hey everyone, if I could have just a moment of your time then I would be most appreciative. I need your help if you have ever found, or have recommendations where I might be able to, locate a reliable and trustworthy graphic design/web development partner.

Sure, there’s hundreds of thousands of web developers to choose from but from my experience, I have had three primary problems:

1. Graphic design/web development students/interns are not reliable enough
2. Outsourcing to web development companies can get the job done but they’re not committed for the long haul
3. Domestic firms are way more expensive and they’ll try their best to upsell you into five figures in no time

So here’s the deal: I have created a remarkable concept within the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry and have created a system including a 96-page physical print workbook, audio series and intensive video tutorials. All of that work is already done but the next phase is to finish building a site in WordPress to give a vast majority of it away.

...Why would I do that?

That’s simple. The initial goal is not entirely focused around product sales. The point is to promote a dynamic idea and to make that idea as easy to spread as possible. If a potential partner/firm doesn’t understand the concept that where the eyeballs go, where a community can be built and where meaningful relationships can be bridged with people that actually WANT the solution you are offering, then we’re not a good fit for one another.

I’m not looking for an employee or temporary contractor by any means. I want someone who doesn’t need a “boss” and likes the idea of working hard to further develop a game-changing concept by having complete control over the technological and graphics aspects.

Do I know how to upload my own WooThemes template on WordPress, set-up my auto-responder and incorporate my products for sale on e-junkie? Yes, I’ve done it before but I need a quality image and if I’m going to send out a message in mass then I want to be positive that the brand looks top-notch.

That’s just about everything so does anyone have any recommendations as to where I can find a reliable partner or company that is talented, flexible and responsive for this company? Thank you for your time and I really appreciate your help!

Hello Brooks,

From i understood you are not really wanting to 'hire' any body and pay, rather you are seeking a partner with whom you will share your ideas and that partner will develop that solution at it's own cost.once the website is up that partner will be entitled to earn through profit sharing right?

If you mean that I don't want to "hire" an "employee" then you are absolutely correct. I'm willing to pay up-front to leverage some of the risk (though the product and concept have already been developed) that they incur and they are obviously entitled to equity and profit sharing. In essence, I don't want to hire a company for a short-term fix; I want a partner that sees and understands the business model and has a technical skills set. Therefore, I have already done a vast majority of the grunt work in terms of the content and concept but I want to work with other passionate people where we can leverage one another's skills sets and grow together.
