I just found this site today after completeing a google search (mind you, I didn't find my answer), so I joined this site because it looks very interesting and friendly.
I will be sticking around.

My goal is to get a degree in business and open my own music-related business (well under way).

So am I. I've already found some interesting information on these forums.

I just have one questions - In Canada, at 14, is it legal to start up a business?

If so, what is required? A co-signer over 18?

I'm not a resident of Canada, so I'm not sure whether the business name could legally be under your name or not. However, if it comes down to it, you could always ask your parents if you could do business under one of their names.

Thanks for replying with that. I have been considering that, as I can find no evidence that suggests if I may, or may not, sign under my own name.

Its very complicated ( I think ) and my budget, being 14, isn't currently too high.

It involves:

A log-in form that appears on all pages.

Once logged in, member only pages, the ability to purchase "credits" for downloads, signup for newlestter (writes the e-mail to a .txt on the host). I can select members to be of a different rank (DJ) and these people all have their own subdomain on my domain ex: name (dot) submise (dot) com, and they can edit the pages content (NOT TEMPLATE). I am an admin and can edit everything and override etc.

I have no idea what this would cost, and I don't wish to state my budget, so all I want is a few quotes from some different programmers.

Oh, and I would want it integrated with everything (even forums IF POSSIBLE).
