Hello from Chicago

Hi guys. I ran into this forum several times with google searches, trying to learn the tricks and trades of entrepreneurship.

I am 21, live in Chicago, and started an IT Consulting firm in November 2009. I have been in the corporate IT world since the ripe young age of 18(got lucky), and have since earned a few certifications and gained A LOT of knowledge. Now I feel is the time to take a risk and start a business.

So far, nothing huge in terms of revenue. I am a senior in college still, going to graduate in December.

Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to YE! Great to have you here on the forum, and always good to hear we're showing up for relevant Google searches! Good for you for starting your own business. Be patient and stick with it, and you'll make it happen. I looked at your site. It's a very good start. My only suggestion might be to have someone go through and edit it to optimize the wording for marketing and SEO. A lot of it could be streamlined and cleaned up a bit. It's good though.

Hope to hear more from you. Be sure to ask whatever questions you have, and you'll find a community more than willing to help however we can.

Thanks for your comments. I do understand the importance of optimized web pages for search engines, and will be working with someone to help me with my site wording.

It is great that you are in the spirit of starting a business. That is what this whole forum is about helping one another acheive their dreams and man at 18 you were already doing IT stuff that is great. IT is something I want to get into because every business needs IT
