Talking Hello from Atlanta, Georgia. video editor entrepeneur here.

Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully get pointed in the right direction on this forum if you dont mind lol. Im Zay and recently finished school for digital video production and would love to start a small business in the field. The type of work i do ranges from local artist first music videos to extravagant weddings for friends and family. The reason i joined this is to find out how do i go about getting a small business loan of about 10k. While in school it was easy to check out HD cams, Macs, Mics, Audio Mixers, etc as i needed them but now that im finished it has created a dilema. I didnt have any business classes while in school so any help would be useful. If you could fill me in or tell me which part of the forum i should check please respond to this post. Well hopefully i get some responses, thank you all very much in advance.

Apply to your local bank if you have a good credit history, that should do it. However, they would need a business detailed plan and more importantly repayment plan. Another option is look for freelance investor that can raise the money for you, obviously it would come with some sort of high interest/revenue sharing or something.

No problem...However you have to be careful with online Business Plans because more often than not that those plans are somewhat inaccurate, use them as a guide to help you write your own business plan. I will tell you since you seeking about $10,000, you really won't need like a 40 page plan. I would advice that a 5-7page summary plan with assumptions and financial plan would suffice. However, if you feel the need to go further, then go 40pages, do it. Make sure that your assumptions are somewhat achieveable, and reliable. Also, make sure that your financials are accurate (no room for errors) and more importantly look professional.
