The first is that many people have GOOD business ideas but they may not be financially feasible, or may take too much money to start-up. The second is because a lot of people think they will somehow find income or an investor when in reality its much harder than you think. There are tens of thousands of us with "ideas" and few investors.
Another thing I want to point out is that you said you want to make a multi million dollar business. To do this you need to stop looking around. Similar to a stock, once a move has been made your too late in the game. Creating a place similar to Starbucks would fail now because people are already accustomed to StarBucks, making a new "swiffer" will fail to the current "swiffer". Switching costs are a burden and its hard to capture a saturated audience.
To create a multimillion dollar business, you need to come up with something truly unique. So my best advice overall is to just enjoy life and wait till it hits you.. Sounds crazy doesn't it, but most prominent business owners started that way.
If you want to knock heads feel free, I have several Idea's I would tell you that are rocket ship ideas, then explain why they can't be done.

Hey Dorito,
My first suggestion is to look for advice from those that have done and those that do rather than those in your shoes. The above advice is horribly wrong. Never stop creating, never stop writing things down, never stop exploring opportunities to create what you want. Stop trying and one day you will look back and realize that 20 years has gone by and you still never jumped on an opportunity or you missed it because you weren't exploring anymore.
Good luck with you and your future. Hope to see you around the forums and hopefully you bring what you learn to us. I've been in the world of "entrepreneurs" for a while not and I have learned that no matter how much I think I know, I'll never know enough. I can learn from the old guy and the new guy.
Good Luck,
Nick
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."
